Picks on OSU vs. PSU, Oregon vs. Michigan

It’s officially been a bad first half of the football season, capped off last week with a 1-3 mark for -$56.95. Being conservative early just didn’t payoff. I’m at 18-19-1 for -$60.55 on the season. Nothing tragic, and basically in line with the plan (except for losing), but pretty damn boring.

I have two picks for tomorrow as I try to up the ante this season.

I’m taking Ohio State -3 (-112) at Penn State for $100 to win $101.25 – this total obviously includes a profit boost. The typical payout would have been $90 on a $100 bet. I know the Lions have a very good defense, but I think the Buckeyes are better than anything they’ve faced, and I don’t quite buy the PSU offense. It would be nice if either team had played somebody by now, but I guess that’s impossible these days.

I am also taking Oregon -14 (-114) at Michigan for $50 to win $44. From what I’ve seen Michigan can’t throw the ball, and the Ducks score a ton of points.

I’m looking at something with the Eagles, Chiefs, and Bengals, in the NFL, but I’m not ready to make a pick yet.
