College Basketball Pick for Saturday and NCAA Tournament Champion

“March Madness” is right around the corner and I’m diving in with two picks today. The University of Connecticut has been dominating all season, and I expect them to bounce back big time today after a loss to Creighton earlier in the week. Unfortunately, Villanova is in the way, but you don’t bet with your heart. I don’t like giving 12 points in basketball, but I think this gets ugly. I’m taking Connecticut -12 (-107) versus the Wildcats for $20 to win $18.80.

I’m also taking the Huskies to win the Men’s NCAA Tournament at +500. I was shocked this number was so high, and I think it will drop. So, I grabbed it early. I took Connecticut +500 to win the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship for $100 to win $500.

These are both “gut feels” and a bit aggressive for my bank roll, but I did pretty well with the college football and NFL playoffs. So, I’m taking a shot.

Birds Trade for O-lineman; Week-in-Review

The Eagles have traded for left tackle Jason Peters, giving up the 28th selection and a fourth-rounder in the draft plus an undisclosed pick in 2010 according to ESPN.com. This is classic Birds, and doesn’t excite me a little bit. Yes, it’s the prudent move, but it just doesn’t get it done. I’ve already heard this takes the Eagles out of the running for Anquan Boldin, who the Arizona Cardinals have announced is available for trade. The Eagles are like the stodgy parents that never give the kids what they want. No, you can’t have the shiny toy, we’re going to put the money towards college. Problem is, it just doesn’t work in the NFL . . . and the Eagles’ Super Bowl trophies total proves it. This team needs to go get a stud receiver, and, once again, they’re not going to do it. NFL Week 4, College Picks 🏈 Peeking at the Phillies World Series Odds ⚾

A 4-1-1 record for $26.70 with picks last week was a nice bounce back on the blog. Nice, not great, considering the total. But I had to go with what I felt. I just didn’t love any of the games last week. It’s a good example of why gambling on sports is all about the money total. 💰 I guarantee there’s plenty of guys selling picks online who would be crowing about a 4-1-1 record, but it doesn’t mean squat if they didn’t put an amount on each wager. If the one loss is a big bet and the four wins are for minimum amounts, it could be nothing but a losing week. By the way, I have zero intentions of ever selling picks. I don’t understand why anyone would ever buy anyone else’s pick. 🤔 It’s stupid. The point spread makes these games a toss-up. Do you really think some guy yelling into his iPhone camera knows more about a game than the people setting the line? There’s just no reason to buy a pick. My whole thought in putting picks on the blog is to have some fun with readers. I’m a guy
