NFL Week 13, College Football Conference Championships Picks

footballWhen we flipped the calendar to November, I was hoping to flip my luck. It took a minute, but I’m entering December with three straight winning weeks, including a 2-2 Thanksgiving weekend for +$48.71. I mentioned earlier this season that it’s about the money total, not the win-loss record. In the last three weeks I’m only 5-4 on picks, but I’m up $154.21, chopping down my early season losses. Since the reboot of the “Ink” in September, my record is 24-38-2 for -$108.14.

I’m excited to be kicking off December with a new Blogger template that looks great and should vastly improve the experience on this blog for mobile users! You know, just about everyone these days. You might even notice my book, Reach Past Your Limits, is being advertised at the top of the site . . . something I thought was visible on the template for the last three months. Duh! I’m still tinkering with the template but let me know what you think of the new look!

I will have my official picks in the comments section, which could be quite interesting for other reasons this week. I’m leaning toward Washington plus the points over Oregon. And, I really don’t want to be an Eagles hater, but I don’t understand how they’re winning lately and the 49ers -3 might be a play.

Birds Trade for O-lineman; Week-in-Review

The Eagles have traded for left tackle Jason Peters, giving up the 28th selection and a fourth-rounder in the draft plus an undisclosed pick in 2010 according to ESPN.com. This is classic Birds, and doesn’t excite me a little bit. Yes, it’s the prudent move, but it just doesn’t get it done. I’ve already heard this takes the Eagles out of the running for Anquan Boldin, who the Arizona Cardinals have announced is available for trade. The Eagles are like the stodgy parents that never give the kids what they want. No, you can’t have the shiny toy, we’re going to put the money towards college. Problem is, it just doesn’t work in the NFL . . . and the Eagles’ Super Bowl trophies total proves it. This team needs to go get a stud receiver, and, once again, they’re not going to do it. NFL Week 4, College Picks 🏈 Peeking at the Phillies World Series Odds ⚾

A 4-1-1 record for $26.70 with picks last week was a nice bounce back on the blog. Nice, not great, considering the total. But I had to go with what I felt. I just didn’t love any of the games last week. It’s a good example of why gambling on sports is all about the money total. 💰 I guarantee there’s plenty of guys selling picks online who would be crowing about a 4-1-1 record, but it doesn’t mean squat if they didn’t put an amount on each wager. If the one loss is a big bet and the four wins are for minimum amounts, it could be nothing but a losing week. By the way, I have zero intentions of ever selling picks. I don’t understand why anyone would ever buy anyone else’s pick. 🤔 It’s stupid. The point spread makes these games a toss-up. Do you really think some guy yelling into his iPhone camera knows more about a game than the people setting the line? There’s just no reason to buy a pick. My whole thought in putting picks on the blog is to have some fun with readers. I’m a guy
